FasTrak Project

Mission Objective

Each junior will create an ePortfolio website that displays both personal talents and skills and work on current and previous CIBACS projects. All junior year CIBACS students complete a year-long individual project that showcases their CIBACS experiences, personal skills, and evidence of learning and growth during a minimum ten-hour job shadow. The core junior project, known as FasTrak, allows each student to shadow a local business mentor and gain valuable exposure and skills in that career area. Once the students gain their new career experience, they are responsible for demonstrating what they learned in front of a panel of judges as a form of academic competition. Many of our students are able to continue expanding their ePortfolio websites to the point that they are being hired for actual career opportunities as a result.
